Yanely is a Latinx-American licensed therapist. She offers counseling in English and Spanish. Yanely utilizes a holistic lens and invites exploration regarding all aspects of life that are creating barriers for feelings of happiness, security, stability, and safety. Her holistic approach is supported by the systemic lens she utilizes to support clients with exploring how societal and environmental systems impact their lived experience. She enjoys integrating other ways of knowing into her work with clients and invites the use of spirituality, dream interpretation, astrology, numerology, human design, and integration of plant-medicine experiences when requested by clients.

Yanely utilizes a client-centered approach and moves at the speed of the therapeutic relationship that is built between her and her clients. She is committed to creating a safe and validating container for BIPOC and LGBATQIA+ folks. She works collaboratively with her clients and helps empower them by supporting them in identifying their strengths and inner-wisdom that can be utilized to support the therapeutic healing process. She supports her clients in moving out of “survival” mode and into a space where they can begin to engage with curiosity, play, and creativity again. 

Yanely has worked with a diverse variety of clients and has supported them through the following challenges;

  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (including but not limited to experiencing or witnessing physical abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence)

  • Emotional Regulation 

  • Life Challenges (finding purpose, self-growth, finding meaning, navigating sudden or unexpected changes, adjustments to new circumstances)

  • Multicultural challenges related to immigration and assimilation

  • Relationships/Relational Challenges

  • Anxiety (Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorders, Social Anxiety)

  • Depression

  • Grief and Loss

Yanely is originally from southern Idaho and was raised by Mexican immigrant parents. She pursued the field of counseling because she identified the need for more Latinx therapists and the lack of awareness and support for mental health within her community. Yanely received her BS in Psychology from the University of Idaho and then moved to Eastern Washington where she received her MS in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Washington University. She has practiced counseling in college counseling centers and in non-profit community mental health agencies. In her free time, Yanely enjoys being in nature, attending hot yoga, cooking, spending time with friends and family, traveling, studying metaphysical subjects, and communing with plant-medicine

Su enfoque holístico está respaldado por su lente sistémica que utiliza para ayudar a los clientes a explorar cómo los sistemas afectan su experiencia de vida. Disfruta integrando otras formas de conocimiento en su trabajo con los clientes e invita el uso de la espiritualidad, la interpretación de los sueños, la astrología, la numerología, el diseño humano y la integración de experiencias de plantas medicinales cuando los clientes lo solicitan.

Yanely utiliza un enfoque centrado en el cliente y se mueve a la velocidad de la relación terapéutica que se construye entre ella y sus clientes. Está comprometida crear un contenedor seguro y de validación para las personas BIPOC y LGBTQIA+. Ella trabaja en colaboración con sus clientes y los ayuda a empoderarse ayudándolos a identificar sus fortalezas y sabiduría interna que se puede utilizar para apoyar el proceso terapéutica. Ella ayuda a sus clientes a salir del modo de "supervivencia" y entrar en un espacio donde pueden comenzar a interactuar con la curiosidad, el juego y la creatividad nuevamente.

Yanely ha trabajado con variedad de clientes y los ha apoyado a través de los siguientes dificultades;

• Estrés postraumático (que incluye, entre otros, experimentar o presenciar abuso físico, abuso sexual, violencia doméstica)

• Regulación Emocional

• Cambios de la vida (encontrar propósito, crecimiento personal, encontrar significado, navegar cambios repentinos o inesperados, ajustes circunstancias nuevas)

• Dificultades multiculturales relacionados con la inmigración y la asimilación

• Relaciones/dificultades relacionales

• Ansiedad (Ansiedad Generalizada, Trastornos de Pánico, Ansiedad Social)

• Depresión

• Tristeza por la pérdida de seres queridos

Yanely es del sur de Idaho y fue criada por padres inmigrantes Mexicanos. Se dedicó a la consejería porque identificó la necesidad de más consejeras Latinas y la falta de conocimiento y apoyo para la salud mental dentro de su comunidad. Yanely recibió su licenciatura en Psicología de la Universidad de Idaho y luego se movio al este de Washington, donde recibió su maestría en Consejería de Salud Mental de la Universidad den Eastern Washington. Ha practicado consejería en centros de consejería universitarios y en agencias comunitarias de salud mental. En su tiempo libre, Yanely disfruta estar en la naturaleza, atender hot yoga, cocinar, pasar tiempo con amigos y familiares, viajar, estudiar temas metafísicos y comunar con las plantas medicinales.
